Our Pai Learning: Reducing Rubbish Research

Room 7 have been writing letters home trying to convince our parents that we need to reduce the amount of rubbish in this world. One way we can do this is to have a "No Junk mail" sticker on our mail box. As part of our learning we decided we need to go out and research where we could get these stickers from and how much they cost. Mrs Dobson got Room 7 to organise the trip. No one realised how much paper work needed to be done to go on a trip. We all had jobs that we were responsible for, from phoning the shops, getting first aid kits, who was going in which car, getting drivers details and asking for permission to go. Different groups went at different times and days to different shops. We found out that the prices vary between shops and there are lots of different signs you can buy. It was a great learning opportunity and we learnt that EVERYONE can make a difference in this world no matter how small.
