Last term we started learning about rubbish and Recycling, Reusing and Reducing. We collected our junk mail for a whole week and brought it to school. This week we counted out how much we had collected. We had 265 pieces. Samuel thought this was crazy because we were wasting trees to make all this paper. As a class, we talked about what happened to this junk mail after people looked at it. Most probably went in the recycling bin but some would end up in the rubbish as well. After Mrs Dobson showed us a book about paper making Charlie suggested we use our junk mail to make new paper. Some of the class wanted to see if we could reduce the junk mail.
