Room 7 had noticed that our caretaker, Mr Edmonds, had to spend a lot of time picking up all the bark that was thrown out of our playground. We also noticed that we were not taking much pride in the areas around the front of our classrooms. We decided that we should be more responsible for cleaning up this area. During the week we wrote and asked Mr Edmonds if Room 7 could have a large broom and explained our plan. We came up with the idea that each of the 5 classrooms surrounding this playground could take turns to sweep up each day. Maybe then we will all be more careful with the bark and not throw it around. On Friday Mr Edmonds came pass on his tractor and was very pleased with our efforts. Next week we are writing to the other 4 rooms and asking them to take a turn cleaning up.
