Last Thursday, Team Kotuku, went to Quail Island for the day. The weather wasn't as good as we had hoped for, but at least it didn't rain on us. We had an amazing day. The ferry rides over and back were a real highlight and we nearly fell out of our seats laughing when Matt(Jack's Dad) got soaking wet from the sea spray at the back of the boat. We had a small walk around the Island and then we had to work in teams on a treasure hunt. When we had collected all the items we had to again work as a team to make a sand sculpture. After lunch we got our feet wet, some of us were even brave enough to get more than just our feet wet. We loved swinging on the rope swing. Thanks Sandra (Laura's Mum) for pushing us all!! We also loved collecting some of the shells and drift wood to take back to Room 7. At the end of the day we were exhausted and Mrs Dobson needed an early night and a big sleep.
